Body paint and special effects makeup.

Sunday, March 2, 2014

I made this leg wound, fist made a mold, our liquid latex, let it dry for one day. Then i paste it on my skin with spirit gum and put molding wax around it. Then i started painting the wound and put fake blood for a final touch.

I don't know exactly how to call this wound, so i named it burned skin with bubbles, that's kind of nasty. It could be useful for zombie makeup, has a rotten look too, just add more pretoleum jelly.

I made the bubbles first, like 2 or 3 days before i made this wound. I used clay made some holes on it and then pour liquid latex in them. Then i used spirit gum to glue the bubbles to the skin. To make the holes beside them, i used liquid latex, fake blood and body paint. :)

WATCH VIDEO TUTORIAL:

Acid burn made with:

  • Liquid latex
  • cotton
  • cream makeup/ eye shadows
  • Fake blood
  • Petroleum Jelly
  • Alka seltzer
  • Application tools: sponge and brush
  • Spray bottle 4 water.

Wound Makeup:

First put on the liquid latex on the area you are going to make the wound. On the liquid latex put the cotton and scatter all over it, then over the cotton apply another layer of liquid latex.
Start making holes and wrinkle texture so the wound area will start to have a burned appearance.
Then use yellow, red and dark red cream makeup to start coloring the wound.
Use fake blood to give a realistic appearance. (tip: put black or dark red in the holes you made, to give them a 3d appearance)

Acid effect

Put the Alka seltzer in a plastic bag and use something hard to smash it until the tablet becomes powder.
Use the powder to spread it all aver the wound. (tip: put some of the chunk pieces of Alka seltzer in the holes you made)

Spray some water on the wound and because of the Alka seltzer powder its going to start making bubbles

and that's how the acid effect its done :)

Zombie makeup

(The walking dead inspired makeup)
  • Makeup: white, black, red, green, purple special body paint and eyeshadow for bruises
  • For the blood i used: food coloring and maple syrup because i ran out of fake blood.
  • I used liquid latex and toilet paper for the wounds
